Delivery Information
All products will be despatched, carefully packed to offer them the best possible protection to arrive with you in perfect condition, on the expected day.
We only deliver to the United Kingdom and delivery as standard is FREE OF CHARGE to Mainland UK addresses. Unfortunately, UK carriers do apply additional delivery surcharges to certain areas which we cannot avoid, which we need to pass on.
These areas include the following locations:
Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Northern Ireland. If you live in one of these areas, please call us for a quotation before ordering, as the surcharge varies by location.
We are sorry, but we do not currently ship to the Channel Islands.
Next Day Delivery before 2:00pm*
We offer next day delivery on a large range of our products. All items that are eligible for next day delivery will be marked. To qualify for next day delivery the order will need to be placed before 11:30am. If the order is placed after 11:30am it will be packed and despatched for delivery the following day. With regret, we are unable to offer next day deliveries on weekends, if the item is ordered before 2.00pm on Friday it will be packed and despatched for the following Monday. If the item is ordered after 2.00pm on the Friday it will be packed and despatched for delivery Tuesday. Time from Order to Despatch
In most instances none next day products will be packaged and shipped within 24 hours of the order being placed (for courier items, most orders are shipped next day). This gives time to check the order details, delivery address and contact numbers are correct and update these if required, then to pack the product securely and book delivery with the courier. Please note that at busy periods your order may take up to 3 days to process and despatch.
Delivery Time - Parcel Carrier.
Electric Radiators and Single Smaller Storage heaters (up to 1.41kW or ECOSSH208) are despatched as Parcel Deliveries by Courier (We use a multi choice system of Courier selection for all of our parcel deliveries).
Orders received will be despatched the following day on a 24 hour service (weekdays only). Unless Monday - Friday Pre 12 is selected for delivery.
For example Goods ordered on a Tuesday will be despatched on Wednesday for delivery Thursday. Orders received on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays will be despatched on Monday for delivery on the Tuesday.
For larger storage heaters or multiple units that require delivery by pallet we will call to arrange the delivery with you before shipping, so the goods arrive on a convenient day for you. Pallet deliveries are classed as "kerbside deliveries" with delivery to the nearest point of entry to your home, but not inside due to insurance restrictions covering the delivery drivers. Please bear this is mind when ordering as you may need help when moving goods when they arrive, which are heavy items and also to arrange for the disposal of the pallets used to convey the goods, which form part of the “package” and are not generally taken away by the delivery company.
For anyone who chooses the Monday - Friday Pre 12 Delivery Service, we will despatch as normal for delivery the following day, if ordered before 11:30am. All Pre 12 deliveries are classed as "kerbside deliveries" with delivery to the nearest point of entry to your home, but not inside due to insurance restrictions covering the delivery drivers. Please bear this is mind when ordering as you may need help when moving goods that are heavy items when they arrive. Please note that we cannot refund payment for pre-noon deliveries that are subject to delays outside of our control, due to unforeseen events.
Regretfully the following postcodes are subject to a delivery surcharge, which is a true cost to us and we don’t make any money on delivery costs.
AB, DD, DG, TD, PH1-18 £35, If you place the order through the site, we will call after placing to take the surcharge payment over the telephone.
We can also deliver to AB13 – AB14, AB30, KW, PA20, PO30 and other offshore postcodes which do have a longer delivery lead time, please call us on 01942 265041 for a delivery price and timescales on these postcodes.
We are sorry but we are not currently able to despatch parcels or palletised deliveries to the Channel Islands, Ireland.
Delivery Hours: All Normal delivery hours are Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 18:00
Please check the order confirmation details carefully as once despatched, delivery address details cannot be amended.
Checking Deliveries and Damaged Goods: Signing for Deliveries:
All deliveries must be signed for, no delivery can be made without a signature from the customer or nominated receiver.
Receiving and Signing for Your Goods
Please look for obvious parcel damage and if IN ANY DOUBT sign the paperwork as DAMAGED and do not accept the delivery. An email to advise refusal of delivery MUST be sent to sales@merinal.co.uk. within 24 hours of the refusal. This allows us time to raise a claim against the delivery company for the damage and to allow us to organise a replacement unit to be despatched to you for the damaged item.
If after receiving and opening the goods they are not in a satisfactory condition mark please report this to us ASAP by email to sales@merinal.co.uk within 24 hours of delivery. We may require photographic evidence of damaged goods in order to facilitate an exchange or refund.
If the item is received and accepted with a signature of proof of delivery, and we are not notified of any damage within 24 hours, we will be of the understanding that this is an acceptance that the item (s) arrived fit for purpose in perfect order. We will not be able to replace or refund for damage reported outside of this period.
If, for any reason, the courier was not able to deliver goods, a card will be left to notify the customer of a missed delivery. The courier will only attempt to re-deliver the goods twice. If the customer is still not available to receive the goods, they will be returned to us and the customer will be liable for any further re-delivery charges.
Please note; none of these services deliver on a weekend or Bank Holiday.
If you are unable, for whatever reason, to take delivery of your goods on the scheduled confirmed delivery day, please inform us by email to sales@merinal.co.uk as soon as possible.
If your order has not already been shipped, we can then arrange an alternative delivery day and avoid any re-delivery fees.
Changes to Orders.
Please note any changes made to your order may have an impact on its delivery date and we may be unable to deliver your goods on the original confirmed delivery day, depending on the nature of the changes you request. If your order has already been despatched any charges incurred by us from the delivery company will need to be added to the order costs and payment made before the amended order is despatched.
Access.
You are responsible for providing a safe means of access from the public highway to the place of delivery. If our delivery staff consider that access is unsafe then we will not deliver the goods until safe access is provided. Any subsequent charges by the courier will be claimed back from the customer.
If our carriers accidentally damage goods in the course of delivery our liability for that damage is limited to the repair, replacement or refund of the goods or the value thereof.
Time of delivery is not of the essence in these terms and conditions. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable delay or delay due to unforeseen circumstances outside of the reasonable control of merinal.co.uk or any reasonable rescheduling of delivery.
